How We Started

Gear Heads On The Go LLC was founded in 2023 by former U.S. Army mechanic and ASE Certified Master Technician Brian "Wolfie" Richardson. What began as a mobile repair service was built on a simple but powerful mission: to change the way people experience automotive repair. After years in the industry, Wolfie saw too many customers struggling with high repair costs, confusing recommendations, and a lack of trust. He set out to prove that honest mechanics still exist and that quality automotive repairs shouldn't be out of reach for hardworking families living paycheck to paycheck.Through transparency, integrity, and fair pricing, Gear Heads quickly earned a reputation for putting customers first. As the business continued to grow, Wolfie expanded the operation and, in January 2026, opened the company's first physical shop location in Gaffney, South Carolina. Today, Gear Heads On The Go continues to offer mobile repair services while primarily serving customers from its Gaffney shop. Although the location has changed, the mission remains exactly the same: providing honest, affordable, high-quality automotive repair backed by the values of integrity, service, and respect.At Gear Heads, you're more than just another repair order.
